Our Film Festival has officially wrapped up!
Over the course of one week, we hosted 5 contests, one for every day. You were challenged to step into the shoes of movie directors and "make a movie."
First, you wrote a script. Next, you created a profile theme to represent your moodboard. You then dressed your star in a social contest, before building your movie set in a Unitz. The final step was designing your movie poster in a group selfie contest! As announced, I chose 3 winners per contest. They will be announced in the next blog post...

Title: SUBJECT EVE

CATALYST, a black-market genetics corporation that engineers extinct predatory creatures in a remote offshore research facility, supplying them for military contracts. Hidden laboratories store unstable hybrid monstrosities never meant to leave containment.
Years earlier, an unidentified incident wiped out the majority of the staff at CATALYST. The facility was abandoned and sealed off from the rest of the world underneath the ocean.
A salvage crew is hired to recover research data from the facility. The crew is surprised to discover that the power is still active after the facility was abandoned years earlier. As they descend deeper into the facility, they catch glimpses of the creatures roaming the corridors and maintenance levels, surviving for years without human intervention. At the center of the facility lies an intact containment chamber, holding a suspended woman labelled SUBJECT: EVE.
During a system failure, the containment chamber cracks open.
Soon after, the creatures roaming the facility abruptly stop attacking the crew. Some begin to follow Eve instead, observing her.
As paranoia spreads through the crew and the predators grow unpredictable, fragments of classified footage reveal that Eve was never an ordinary test subject. Her genetic material served as the foundation for the entire program.
And as the survivors explore deeper in the facility, they begin to realize that the incident that occurred years earlier may have never been an accident.
CATALYST is a genetic research facility once used to engineer monstruous predators and experimental hybrids. Despite years of abandonment parts of the laboratory remain active with containment chambers and incubators still operating.
Rusted machinery, tangled cables and overgrown vegetation have overtaken much of the facility while bloodstains and skeletal remains serve as a reminder of the catastrophic incident that forced the evacuation of the remaining scientists.
Within the shadows hide the remnants of experiments that were never meant to survive.
At the center of the ruins of CATALYST's research facility, the salvage crew finds a forgotten containment cryogenic chamber that remains powered despite years of isolation. Inside it is Subject Eve, preserved in a state of artificial sleep.
Unknown to the crew, Eve was never an ordinary test subject. Her DNA was used as the genetic blueprint for CATALYST's entire hybrid program, serving as the base from which countless engineered species were created. As researchers pushed the limits of bioengineering they discovered that Eve's body was deteriorating at a rapid pace from all of the experiments.
Scientists gradually replaced her failing organs and parts of her body with advanced technology transforming her into something that isn't human anymore.
Due to all of the isolation and spending decades in confinement in a test chamber, Eve developed a powerful influence over the creatures. The scientists believed that the hybrid creations were under their control, but fragments of classified recordings reveal the disturbing truth.
Way before CATALYST's collapse, Eve already became the intelligence guiding the hybrids.
She was in control all along.
