As you've probably noticed, some of that makeover magic from Mystic Alley and Lib Street has spilled over into Cortoza and. It. Is. Looking. SPOOKTACULAR! Castles, canals, CORTOZA, oh my!
Sure, you know that Cortoza is a little... Darker than the other NationZ, but what do you REALLY know about Woozworld's shadowiest corner? With its hauntingly gorgeous revamp, we've decided to delve deeper into the dark history of Cortoza.
You may have gathered that the sun isn't exactly popular in Cortoza. In fact, the sun is non-existent. That's right, Cortoza is a nocturnal NationZ. Everything in Cortoza, from the puniest plant to the biggest beast, thrives on moonlight and darkness. This is what makes this NationZ so special. No one knows quite how Cortoza continues to survive with no sunlight... Some believe the secret lies deep within the shadows, while others think the Cortoza Canal holds mysterious powers... There are some, though, that believe the untold power lies within the walls of Cortoza Castle.
Cortoza Castle, of course, is home to the Cortoza Royal Family, the Sanguize family. Not too much is known about the Sanguize family... They rarely leave the castle grounds, but that hasn't stopped the rumours from flying around about them.
For instance, one popular rumour is that the Sanguize family has... Powers. One such power? Invisibility. You see, the thought is that the reason the family is rarely spotted is because it's impossible to spot them. Some Cortozians also believe they can fly... Some claim they've even seen it. Who knows what the truth behind this one is... But it would explain why the Sanguize family is rarely seen...
Another popular piece of gossip? It is said that the Sanguize family has ruled Cortoza for centuries. And we don't mean different generations of the same family... We're talking the same family... The same people... For centuries... Without aging. That's right; we're talking about immortality. Now, there's no real way to know for sure if this is the case, but that doesn't stop many Cortozians from believing it to be true.
Also, we heard their hair is insured for 10,000 Wooz and they do car commercials in Japan. This has yet to be confirmed, though.
Rumours aside, one thing we do know for sure is that Cortoza continues to not only survive, but THRIVE, without any help from the sun. With its new look, there are more shadowy corners to explore than ever! So, get out there (maybe with your night vision goggles?) and discover what Woozworld's darkest NationZ has to offer. Who knows... You might even uncover some secrets!
