Introducing User Flags

Introducing User Flags - A New Era of Interactive Games in Woozworld

Woozens, get ready! A powerful new feature has arrived that will take your games, competitions, and roleplays to the next level: User Flags.

Best part? No Wired knowledge required! Anyone can pick this up and start creating interactive experiences right away. But if you're an advanced Wired user, User Flags will help you simplify circuits and even let you build things that weren't possible before by combining both systems.

For the first time, you can give Woozens roles, powers, and restrictions directly inside your Unitz - no complex setups needed.

Let's dive in!

Step 1: Create Your Flags

Start by placing a User Flags Repository in your Unitz.

  • You can define up to 10 custom flags (one Repository per Unitz).
  • Give them meaningful names like "TeamBlue," "Jailed," or "Guard."
  • These are the flags you'll later assign to Woozens and connect to your furniture/effects.

Important: User Flags are always tied to the Unitz where they were created. You can't use a flag from another Unitz.

  • By default, Woozens automatically lose all User Flags when they leave your Unitz.
  • Optional setting: If you enable "Temporarily remember User Flags even if they leave the Unitz" in the Repository, the server will remember and reapply them when Woozens return - but only while the Unitz stays active. If the Unitz goes inactive for too long, remembered flags are cleared.

Step 2: Assign Flags to Players

There are two ways to give Woozens flags:

  • Manual Assignment
  • Open the User Search tab while in your Unitz.
  • Switch to the new User Flags section, where you'll see a list of everyone present.
  • Simply check or uncheck flags for any player.

Note: Not only the Unitz owner, but also any Co-Hosts in the room can manually give or remove User Flags.

  • Automatic Assignment with Pods
  • Place a User Flag Pod in your Unitz.
  • Configure it to add/remove specific flags when a Woozen taps it.
  • Example: A "Join Team Blue" pod gives TeamBlue and removes TeamRed.

Step 3: Lock Furniture with Flags

Flags can now be used just like passwords to lock interactive furniture.

  • Open the Lock settings of any interactive furniture.
  • Instead of "Use password?", select "Use user flag?".
  • Choose which flag is required to use it, and add an optional message for Woozens who don't have the right flag.

Here are just a few ideas of what you could lock with flags:

  • A door or teleporter that only a certain team or role can enter.
  • A treasure chest that only players who found the "Key" flag can open.
  • A chair or throne that only the "Leader" can sit on.

This makes it easy to build team bases, progression systems, and roleplay restrictions without any complicated setup.

Step 4: Apply Effects with Flags

Here's where the fun really begins: you can link special effects to flags. Just drop one of the new User Flag Effect Pods anywhere in your Unitz - no wiring needed - and configure it.

  1. Choose the flag from the dropdown that will give this effect.
  2. Set the effect's properties.
  • For a clothing effect, select which garment from your inventory will be automatically applied to anyone with that flag.
  • For skin color, pick the hex color.
  • For scale, choose how much bigger or smaller.
  • For speed, choose how much slower or faster.

Available effects:

  • Skin Color Effect: Change Woozens' skin color (perfect for teams or cursed states).
  • Clothing Effect: Automatically apply a piece of clothing from your inventory (great for uniforms, disguises, or roles).
  • Scale Effect: Make Woozens bigger or smaller (giants, mini players, power-ups).
  • Speed Effect: Change how fast or slow Woozens move (racing boosts, traps, penalties).

Once set, effects apply and remove in real time as flags are added or removed.

Pro Tip: You can stack multiple effects on the same flag!

For example, a Cursed flag could make a Woozen smaller, slower, and turn their skin green - all at once.

What Can You Create with User Flags?

The beauty of User Flags is that they can be used for both simple personal touches and big interactive games. Here are some ideas to spark your creativity:

Simple everyday uses:

  • Private seating: Only the Woozens you pick can sit on your love couch, bed, or throne.
  • Exclusive hangout corners: Reserve a sofa, hot tub, or dance floor area just for your closest friends.
  • Wardrobe magic: With a single tap, you or your friends can instantly switch into a matching outfit - no need for everyone to own the clothes. Perfect for group photos, shows, or even practicing choreographies where you all want to look coordinated.
  • Speed boosts for fun runs: Give selected Woozens a temporary speed flag so they can dash across a track faster than others.

Medium-scale setups:

  • Team Games: Red Team vs. Blue Team, with uniforms and base access controlled by flags.
  • Escape Rooms: Assign Jailed to players until they solve puzzles to free themselves.
  • Roleplay Worlds: Doctors, patients, guards, prisoners - all with different outfits, sizes, and permissions.

Advanced creations:

  • Adventure Campaigns: A game master can manually give and remove flags during play, controlling who is "poisoned," "blessed," or "carrying the magic key."
  • Mystery & Deception Games: Assign hidden roles with flags and let gameplay unfold as players try to figure out who's who.
  • Quests with Consequences: Use flags to mark choices; later content reacts to what players did.
  • Interactive Stories: Players earn flags for completing dialogue paths or challenges, unlocking new chapters or outcomes.

With just a few flags and effects, you can create anything from a small personal space to a full-scale fantasy adventure.

Advanced Tips for Wired Users

User Flags were designed to be simple enough for everyone, but if you already use Wired, you can take things even further by combining the two systems:

Lock Wired furniture with Flags

Just like other interactive furniture, Wired pieces can also require a User Flag to be used. Example: only Woozens on TeamRed can press a button that triggers a gate opening.

Trigger Flags with Wired signals

You can also use Wired to control how flags are given or how effects activate:

  • Effect Pod example: Connect an AreaPod so that when enough Woozens stand inside it, it triggers a signal that activates a User Flag Effect Pod, applying a Speed Boost to everyone with the flag.
  • User Flag Pod example: Place a User Flag Pod in your maze and wire it to a Switch. Normally it does nothing, but once another Woozen finds and activates the switch, the Pod "turns on" and lets players gain or lose its flag.

This two-way connection means you can build setups that are much simpler than before - or entirely new experiences that weren't possible at all.

Bonus Announcement: Wired Price Drop!

To celebrate the launch of User Flags - and to encourage all creators to keep pushing their imagination further - we're doing something big:

All Wired furniture is getting a permanent price drop!

  • Most Wired pieces are now at least 50% cheaper.
  • Some have dropped by as much as 75%!

That means now is the perfect time to stock up, combine Wired with User Flags, and unleash your most ambitious projects yet.
