At my school, I am quite smart. I get good grades and people ask me for help and want to copy my answers. Most of them are my friends. When I say no, they say I am mean and that they won’t be my friend if I don’t give them the answers. Also, when I am trying to do my work, they ask me questions. When I say sorry I am busy, they also say I am mean. I don’t want to be mean but I don’t want them copying off me. What should I do?
When someone starts copying you it can get annoying, especially if it is one of your friends. If they are honestly having troubles in school you can offer to help them understand the subject or even invite them to study with you!
Make it clear you don’t work for them and if they think they can get their way by bullying they are wrong! If your friends copy all the time it will hurt them in the long run and be proven on their exams.
Tell them you put a lot of time and effort into your work and you don’t think it’s fair for them just to copy and benefit from your work. If they really persist tell them they are jeopardizing your friendship! You can also talk about it to a teacher or a parent for more advice! Good luck!
