2021 GoalZ!

Hey Woozens!

Did everyone have a happy and safe New Year's? We sure hope so!

You may remember that we asked you to send in your 2021 New Year's Resolutions and explain them in 20 words or less. You all had some super inspiring aspirations that you wanna accomplish in the next 365 days to make 2021 YOUR year!

You guys shared a TON of New Year's Resolutions, and it warmed our hearts reading them! We've found the most popular resolutions and we wanna share them with you. Maybe there's something in the list that you might want to accomplish this year, you never know!

Here are the most popular New Year's Resolutions for 2021:

Focus On Studying

School is going to be a little different this year, but don't let that get in the way of your studies! Most of you are working insanely hard to graduate, which is awesome! We understand that focusing on studying can be a little challenging these days, so why not try to set a specific hour of the day to studying without any distractions. Put your phone in the other room, get comfy, and hit the books at the same time everyday and create a routine for yourself.

Learn A New Skill

Let's face it, being stuck at home can get a little boring, so why not try and learn a new skill with all of your free time! Your new skill can be something challenging like learning a new language or an instrument. If you're looking for something a little more low key, why not try making baking or knitting/sewing your new skill, or even work to improve your existing skills like drawing or writing. Once you get the hang of it, you won't regret learning a new skill!

Be Successful

Many of you mentioned that you wanted to be more successful in 2021! First things first, write up a list of realistic goals for yourself and hang it up somewhere that you will read it every day. These don't need to be big goals, they can be little goals that will help you reach the success you're looking for. If you check your list everyday and remind yourself to work towards your goals, there's no doubt you'll be successful by the end of the year!

Focus On Self-Love/Care

This is probably the. most. important. resolution. to have this year! Times are a little tough, so you gotta make sure that you take care of yourself first. You may be stuck at home, but don't forget to keep in touch with good friends that you can talk freely to, they're always just a text or call away. It's also suuuuuuper important to take a break when you need it. If you're overwhelmed, take a break and get some fresh air on a nice long walk, or, if you live in one of the colder climates, why not give yoga a try? You'll be cool, calm, and collected in no time!

Be Healthier

It's safe to say that most of us have spent a little more time on the couch binging TV shows than we used to. Many of you mentioned that you wanted to eat better and workout more. Seeing as gyms and sports are not accessible to some of us these days, why not check out some different home workout routines online, or even get together with some pals and have a virtual Zumba sesh. As for eating better, try swapping out your go-to junk food for some fruit & veggies every now, and then and save the chips for a movie night with the fam!

BUT...The number one resolution that most of you shared, was that you want to be a better person in the year 2021! If there's anything 2020 taught us, it's that we need to work together to make the world a better place. There's no doubt you're already pretty swell people, but you mentioned that you want to become better people! Try to bring a positive vibe to your community, whether it's online, at home, in even in the classroom. You don't always know what others are going through, so put yourself in someone else's shoes and try to bring some joy their way.

Of course, these are just a few suggestions to help you have a great year! Do what makes you happy, and don't let others bring you down!

Thanks, Woozens! We hope 2021 brings you plenty of joy and new adventures!
